Adjusting the Printhead Speed

The following instructions are to adjust the printhead speed. You may want to adjust the speed of the printhead when:

  1. Using an extended rail
  2. Printing on a surface that will require the printhead to make many adjustments (e.g. riveted metal)
  3. On uneven ground
Diagnosing whether the printhead is moving too fast:
  1. Machine sways as printhead moves along rail
  2. Printhead does not adjust accurately enough to a bumpy print surface
  3. The image appears wavy and some parts are blurred


Making the Printhead Slower

  1. Open the TWP software.
  2. In top left corner, select Printer Information  > Machine Settings
  3. Under Basic Setup, adjust the Speed to desired speed between 1 and 4, 4 being the fastest.
  4. Press Ok and exit the software entirely.
  5. Turn off power to the printhead, wait 5 seconds, and turn it back on.
  6. Open the Printhead settings once again to verify that the adjusted settings were saved.
  7. Do a test print to ensure the speed does not need to be adjusted any further.
