WP-UV-TV2 How to Adjust The Wall Distance

Before adjusting the Wall Distance, be sure you have correctly placed your Wall Printer. When  the printhead is in its fully retracted position (Z Backward), it should be 3 inches from the wall.


The Wall Printer's Wall Distance setting is used to adjust the distance of the print head from the wall when in Auto mode. You can find this setting by clicking on "Printer Information" in the top left corner of the TWP software, then navigating to "Machine Settings." The default distance should be set between 12 and 16 inches.



If you choose to adjust the printhead's distance from the wall in Auto mode, please do so at your own risk. You can modify the Wall Distance, but make adjustments incrementally, changing it by only one unit at a time. This will help minimize the risk of the printhead hitting the wall. Additionally, ensure that your surface is completely level before making any adjustments.

1. To decrease the Wall Distance incrementally, press the arrow on the left side of the setting to lower the value. To increase the Wall Distance, press the arrow on the right side to raise the value. Adjust this setting only when the printhead is at its lowest possible position.


2. After making each adjustment, press "OK" and close the TWP Operation software.

3. Reopen the TWP Operation software and locate the Wall Distance setting again to verify that your changes have been saved.

4. Next, navigate to Printer Operations and set the printhead to "Auto." This will move the printhead toward the wall, allowing you to see the new Wall Distance. Perform a test print to determine if you have achieved your desired distance. Repeat these steps as necessary.
